The Duckling Room is a fun environment in which the children can develope and grow, the staff strive to make the children feel special and well cared for as this is vital for their physical, social and emotional health and well-being this leads to self-assurance, promoting a sense of belonging which allows children to explore and gain confidence and self esteem.
In this room children are becoming more mobile so staff open up more opportunities for exploration and exercise. The facilities and planned activities for this age group help children to develop curiosity, coordination and physical abilities and staff encourage children to develop their social and mental skills.
Building on their communication skills, children now begin to develop a sense of self and are more able to express their needs and feelings. With encouragement and plenty of interaction with both their parents and staff at the nursery childrens communication skills grow and their vocabulary expands very rapidly.
Staff strive to work along side parents so that their children feel that Orchard Farm is an expansion of their home life and they continue to feel safe and secure.
